This is how it works....
We operate a modern data storage facility in Sydney NORWEST. At
the facility, an account is maintained for each user. Each account is
protected by a password known only to the user! Therefore nobody-else
(including d3st1ny) has access to the real data.
At the customer site the client software is installed on the computer
that needs to be backed-up or the one that controls the data of the network. The
easy-to-use and friendly software comes with predefined templates for
back-up times and rules that suites the majority of businesses.
The client application is set up so that at a preset time, usually
late at night the client computer automatically wakes up and prepares
its data for backup, it determines which files have been modified since
the last backup, compresses them and encrypts them for security. When the
data is ready the computer uses the Internet connection to contact our Servers and
transmit the data.
Our Servers verify and store the data. The next morning the
backup is transferred to another medium and also stored outside d3st1ny's location.
You will receive an email notification about the result of your backup.
At d3st1ny Computer Service Centre you have a contract that entitles you
to an approved amount of storage space. This space can automatically
store multiple backups of your data.
Our systems automatically archives your data thereby giving you multiple
versions of your data files according to date.
By archiving your data this way, you have the flexibility to choose
to restore your data as it appeared yesterday, or the day before, or
even as it appeared 20 days ago! In fact, you can store as many different
backups as you require thus giving you the flexibility you need to
archive data as far back as you want or need.
